Russell Eldridge graduated with honors from the Atlanta Institute of Music in 2001. He was immediately invited to teach a class in Odd Meter and did so until 2006.
Russell has been teaching Music since February of 2002. He started learning guitar after first hearing the band Metallica in 1989. His education spans all genres of music and he enjoys teaching jazz, blues and classical, but his specialty is rock and metal including teaching technique, how to solo, and songwriting.
While in the band Manic, Russell opened for Helloween and Anthrax. He also played MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball Tour. He played with Delusional Mind as the singer and guitarist for two years and recently formed the band Severity. In 2010 and 2011, he was asked to be a judge for the Reflections musical composition entries for the PTSA Arts Contest at East Cobb Middle School in Georgia.
