Cara Mastrey

Cara Mastrey, Singer, Vocal Coach, Actress, has been in the entertainment business for more than 20 years.  Many singers who watched Cara perform, would ask how she achieved such great vocal power from such a little body frame.  At 5'2" 100 pounds people are astonished she can belt out as strong as men.

When Cara began singing, she didn't want to become a wimpy female singer, so she set out to master power singing with anyone who would teach her.  Cara: “I wanted to sing hard rock when I was very young to break new ground and achieve new standards for power vocals". The competition was fierce so she began taking classes from all the best vocal coaches in L.A., Ron Anderson, Elizabeth Sabine also took Opera classes and Acting to build her craft. She focused on ideal breath control leveraging confidence she needed to keep up with her powerful Rock band at the time, and continues to perform to this day.  Cara says, “I've never lost my voice since, and don't have any problems with my voice, keeping it well maintained”

Also a Martial discipline instructor, Cara combines this training with teaching singing.  POWER vocals and Breath control, is Cara's forte, focusing on the foundation of the breath.  She takes you through a full body experience, working all the muscles pertaining to singing.

"Your range will expand, you will have more breath stamina, pitch control, power combining dynamics, ear tonality, smooth transition from body to head voice, and I will bring out the best colors of sounds that suit you as an individual.  Your confidence will soar and you will be inspired to share your talent with the world",  says Cara.

Cara has been able to share her knowledge and expertise with hundreds of singers for over 15 years beginning teaching in Ireland and is now based in Minneapolis Minnesota, where she now resides and invites beginners, professionals, old and young, of all styles from jazz to Heavy Metal, into her private studio as well, with a great track record of success.

Cara Mastrey also has a vocal exercise training C.D. available called 'Sing with Mastrey Vol. I' through RockSource 360 store.  A series of 'Sing with Mastrey' Dvd's will also soon be available for purchase.

I want you to teach me how to be fierce with the mike(mic? I dont know) and dominate every living thing and anybody at any time. All around sophisticated schizophrenic sideshow nut-job that looks DAMN GOOD dancing while rocking to the sweet bitter sounds of Rock and Roll. Im not a screamer. I sing like Maynard or Cory Taylor(not really) but you get the idea. Oh and by the way you look striking in that pic. Kinda like if my mouth squeezed out the wrong thing you'd chew me up and spit me out and go enjoy dessert. My names Joe. And I hate highschool.

How do we sign up for lessons with Cara? I don't see a link pertaining to it or anything. I got her Singing With Mastrey and it is really great. Today was my second day using it. After warming up with it. I hit a Tenor High C in full voice without straining (I'm more of a light baritone). That was awesome!
